Valentine Heart Bunting

Can you feel it? Love is in the air!

Ok, well maybe that’s actually cold winds and rain drops but Valentine’s Day is nearly upon us, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve left your romantic thoughts till the last minute! Oops! 

And that’s where this easy to make paper bunting comes in handy. What I love most about this simple Valentine Love Heart Bunting is that it requires minimal materials, it's quick and can all be done on a shoe-string budget!

Materials:

• Love heart bunting
• 220GSM White card 
• Scissors
• String / ribbon
• Pegs / glue gun / sticky tape

Directions:

1 - Print the hearts out onto thick 220GSM white card. You can use thinner card if you prefer, I just find 220GSM to be the perfect weight for most of my paper craft projects (it always holds the shape of what I'm crafting and it goes through a home printer with ease). Print as many hearts as you want, depending on wether you want to create a long or short banner.

2- Cut out each heart

3- Arrange the order in which you would like the hearts to go. (If you want to be extra creative, you could even decorate the edges with glitter for that extra romantic sparkle)

4 - Once you have all your hearts organised you're ready to get sticking! I used a hot glue gun but you could also use tape.

TIP: Stick the string near the top, so both the left and right sides of the heart are stuck to the string. If you stick the string to the middle of the hearts then they tend to spin over the string!

SAVER TIP: If you want, you could also use pegs to attach the hearts to the string! After Valentines day you can easily dismantle the bunting and use the hearts or string for another crafty project!

And it’s as simple as that!

These Valentine paper hearts add a touch of vintage colour and Valentine's beauty where ever you decide to hang them. I like to hang mine over the bed, just for a couple of days, so it’s the first thing I see in the morning.
